Book Matching
Cambridge Kitchen Project
The Story
This was one of the first kitchens we built with book-matched panels... in case you don't know, book-matching is when the grain of the panel continues onto the next panel and so on. There comes a point when you have to stop - due to length of he veneer sheets, which in turn are limited to the the height of the trees! This kitchen was quite long - so we decided to mirror the book-matching from the centre point (beneath the oven). The effect is certainly breath taking.

The Details...
The veneer is Olive Ash - chosen for its high contrast grain and brightness. The top is Corian (so no visible joints over this length and the wall elements are Haven White - to lift the whole scheme and avoid it becoming too woody....

This kitchen is from 2011... whilst that is actually quite shocking (!) it does stand testimony to our claim that the classic modern naturalSHEER look is indeed 'timeless'.
