Tucked away between Newmarket Road and the River Cam, the Cambridge showroom is embedded into the Production Centre where each piece is expertly hand-built to individual requirements. The central look can be described as CLASSIC MODERN, that is to say it’s modern, yet not overly modern.
Clean lines, functional design and great materials lay at the heart of this timeless look, and the handle-less naturalSHEER kitchen model, is perhaps the epitome of this style. Much loved for its tactile and organic styling details, naturalSHEER was created in 2009 by Cambridge man, Tomas Hinton - Founder, Designer and Director. Since that time the SHEER concept has evolved and other styles have emerged… so if you prefer your kitchens to be more cutting edge check out minimalSHEER, with its state-of-the-art styling. Or perhaps you’re a traditionalist and prefer a Shaker style – without all the twiddly bits.. in which case classicSHEER could be right up your street. At the Cambridge showroom, you can see displays and samples and also see the vintage styled decoSHEER model.
The Tomas brand was born in a shed at the end of a Cambridge garden, the first showroom was in Cherry Hinton Road, Cambridge and today the Production Centre is here in central Cambridge… Tomas is indeed a Cambridge Brand and first choice for your kitchen in your Cambridge Home!
Our Cambridge Showroom
The showroom features three main kitchen displays alongside various Danish Furniture and Lighting pieces. Visitors can also discover examples of the free-standing Tomas furniture, such as an exquisite walnut sheerCASE, a solid oak boxCASE and a Turner Table.
In the reception area there is a example of naturalSHEER in Knighton Sky with a pull out larder, ovens and a working Quooker tap. The main room has a full sized naturalSHEER kitchen in Haven Green Grey and Knighton Warm Grey with Corian countertops. This display has a beautiful curved island, which showcases the ‘parting curves’ styling detail. The curved doors are made just a few meters away and curved kitchens are something of a speciality!
Next you’ll discover an opulent decoSHEER display, with Statuario Maximus Caesarstone tops and Walnut Trims and features – such as the walnut tambour and illuminated arcadia shelves. Reeded glass cabinets, top trims and cascade end pieces combine to create that vintage look… without sacrificing the practicality!
In the end room there is a minimalSHEER display in Foreshore Grey and Skagen Sand. The Frosty Carrina countertops by Caesarstone are slim and square – in keeping with the minimalist design ethos. Also here, you can see Siemens. Blanco and Bozen appliances and products
In addition to hand-building the cabinets, Tomas Kitchen Living provide a complete service.
As a complete kitchen company we supply electrical appliances, countertops, sinks, taps and all the accessories. We are main dealers for Siemens, Miele, Bora, Falmec and many other top appliance brands. We also provide a wide range of options for countertops from great brands such as Caesarstone, Corian, and Dekton.
The level of service beyond the supply of a complete kitchen is tailored to suit.. if you’re extending or building a new space, we typically provide a ‘dry-fit’ service, whereby we deliver and install the kitchen and your main contractor does the rest. If you’re replacing a kitchen in an existing space, we can take on the whole project and provide a full turn-key service.
